兒童用藥已經成為藥廠圖利的一大市場，每年可獲利48億美元。藥廠無所不用其極地說服媒體、立法人員以及家長，告訴他們兒童需要使用藥物的原因。他們聲稱注意力不足過動症、憂鬱症及躁鬱症等是醫學問題，與癌症、糖尿病及心臟病一樣；事實上並沒有實際的證據顯示精神疾病是醫學問題，症狀的診斷僅是依靠行為判斷所得到的結果。

今日我們要談的主題是引起「那並不新鮮」，或是「那是基於某種原因」等評論的訊息。我們並不是要批評任何人的觀點。我們不這麼做。我們會以一些方式探討，以說明為什縻你接收到的訊息和你發現的教導，你可能認為並不新鮮。事實上，我們要說，假如它是新的，請非常小心的檢視它。
